INSTRUCTIONS FOR DIGITAL PRINTING WITH GEL POLISH

Step 1 - Basic manicure

Includes shaping, filing, nail extensions if required

Step 2 - Base Gel

Cure with Nailla LED for 30 sec or UV for 2 mins
Tip – Cover the entire nail and keep the coat thin

Step 3 – Colour Gel

Cure with Nailla LED for 30 sec or UV for 3 mins. Apply 1-2 layers and cure.
Tip – This forms the background colour for the pattern. Keep the edges 0.5mm shorter than the base gel and the coat thin.

Step 4 – Base Gel

Cure with Nailla LED for 30 sec or UV for 2 mins
Tip – Cover the entire nail and keep the coat thin

Step 5 – Pre-printing coat (#2)

Warm air dry 2-3 minutes
Tip – It’s used to absorb the ink. The coat should be twice as thick as the base caat and align with the colour gel

Step 6 – nail mask

This is used to protect the skin from the ink
Tip – avoid covering any of the nail

Step 7 – print

Print from either the V9 machine or portable O’2 nail machine. The process is the same
1. Choose pattern
2. Adjust size. Align the top, bottom and sides with the nail
3. The left and right sides should be wider than the nail
4. Place the finger in the holder to the first knuckle. Ensure the finger is straight
5. Do not move finger while printing

Step 8 – Removal

After printing remove finger from machine and remove mask

Step 9 – Clean the nail edge

Roll cotton over the bevelled edge of an orange wood, wet with cleanser. Make it tight and dry with your hand. Go back and forth around the nail edge.
Tip – the #2 Coat is not waterproof, so it must be completely removed from the knife edge otherwise water will seep in easily

Step 10 – Dry with warm air

Use a nail dryer or hair dryer for 3-4 minutes. For darker colours 5-6 minutes

Step 11 – File nail edge

File nail with 180 file to remove #2 coat and file with a 180 sponge to get the edge smooth, then clean dust off with a soft dust brush

Step 12 – Base Gel

Cure with Nailla LED for 30 sec or UV for 2 mins
Tip – Cover the entire nail and seal the edges and keep the coat thin. The image must be protected inside otherwise it could damage easily. A strengthening gel can be used for extra protection, then cure nail again for 30 secs with LED or 3 minutes with UV Light

Step 13 – Top Gel

Cure with Nailla LED for 1 minute or UV for 2-5 mins

Step 14 – Clean nail after top gel

No need to do this if you use no wipe top gel. Take the cotton stick with gel cleanser, wipe the nail from the back to the front twice.
Tip - To make the nail shinier cure with LED for 10 sec and polish nail with dry cotton
